Rookie of the Year
The NASCAR Rookie of the Year Award has been around since 1958. All of the Rookie of the Year candidates are awarded points based on their 17 best finishes of the season and the points are calculated based on 1) Entry points 2) Competition points 3) Top-10 bonus points 4) Segment bonus points 5) Voting panel points and 6) Final championship standings bonus points. The winners of this award have gone on to become some of the greatest NASCAR drivers in the history of the sport. Some of them have even gone on into NASCAR's Hall of Fame!
